Faxitron’s BioVision system allows you to save time in theatre by x-raying the specimen intra-operatively. The image can be sent to radiology via PACS while the specimen is sent directly to pathology.
No specialised x-ray knowledge needed
The BioVision system, certified safe for public use, is powered up with a single button for ease-of-use and the transparent specimen window ensures proper alignment.
Minimal intrusion in point of care environment
BioVision has a small footprint and requires no additional x-ray shielding, with all hardware components built into a mobile system to ensure hardware integrity and personal safety both during and after transport. No re-calibration or restarting is required after transport and the unit plugs into any A/C outlet or can operate for more than three hours on battery backup.
Automatic Exposure Control (AEC)
One button operation with AEC, optimized for breast excisions and core biopsies, guarantees optimal image quality. BioVision includes automatic calibration and selfdiagnostic capability to ensure a successful biopsy procedure can be instantly confirmed.
Single continuous surface keyboard for effective cleaning and disinfection.
Leading-edge image processing
Our software guarantees peripheral equalization and calcification enhancement, with images instantaneously displayed on a 24” high resolution 3.7MP monitor. The magnification shelf, with field of view guides and automatic position detection, provides for two geometric magnifications with accurate measurements at both levels.
Easy access to modality work list
Multiple annotated images can be sent to PACS store and printed at the touch of a button with DICOM compliant software. BioVision also includes remote diagnostic and support over the web.
